We are currently looking for an experienced Actuarial Consultant / Senior ALS & Prophet Developer to join a leading financial services company in Zurich on a 5-month contract.
This role sits within the actuarial function and focuses on enhancing existing actuarial models used for key reporting frameworks such as IFRS 17 and SST. You will be part of a highly experienced modelling team and contribute to impactful improvements across the company’s financial and risk reporting landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Enhance and maintain existing ALS and Prophet actuarial models
- Implement model improvements across multiple reporting frameworks, including IFRS 17 and SST
- Work on different parts of the modelling landscape, gaining a holistic view of P&L and balance sheet dynamics
- Collaborate with actuaries and modelling experts within a team of ~10 professionals
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of modelling changes
- Support potential project-related modelling activities beyond business-as-usual tasks
- Minimum 5 years of experience in actuarial modelling (ideally 10+ years)
- Strong hands-on experience with ALS and Prophet coding
- Solid understanding of with-profits products
- Experience with flexing techniques (or alternative modelling approaches)
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English
- Qualified actuary (e.g. FIA, SAV) or equivalent actuarial experience
