For our client, a leading international private bank, we are looking for an Accountant to join the Finance team in Zurich on a temporary contract from August 2026 to February 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with accounting experience, ideally within banking or financial services, who enjoys working in an international environment and supporting a broad range of financial accounting activities.
Your Responsibilities- You will support the Finance department in day-to-day accounting operations and reporting activities, including:
- Posting journal entries and maintaining accurate accounting records
- Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Performing reconciliations and financial analyses
- Supporting monthly and year-end closing activities
- Preparing internal financial reports
- Assisting with VAT and regulatory reporting
- Supporting ongoing accounting and finance projects
- Commercial apprenticeship or degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Banking or international financial services experience is an advantage
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
- Experience with VAT or regulatory reporting is a plus
- Fluency in English, German and/or Portuguese would be beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Able to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
