We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineering Transformation professional to drive a large-scale transformation of the software development lifecycle within a leading financial services organization in Zurich.
This role focuses on reimagining how software is built by integrating AI into every stage of the development lifecycle, from planning and coding to testing and deployment. You will lead the strategy, standards, and organizational change required to enable AI-augmented software engineering at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of AI-native software engineers and test automation specialists
- Define and execute the strategy for AI-driven software development, including standards, maturity targets, and adoption roadmaps
- Drive the people transformation, evolving roles, team structures, and ways of working
- Establish governance and quality frameworks for AI-assisted development (security, compliance, code reviews)
- Design and implement a change management program to accelerate adoption across international teams (Switzerland, Spain, Poland, India)
- Measure and communicate transformation success using productivity metrics, delivery speed, and engineering maturity indicators
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in software engineering and/or engineering leadership roles
- Proven experience in driving large-scale engineering or organizational transformations
- Strong hands-on background in software development and modern SDLC practices (CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, SAFe)
- Solid experience with DevSecOps practices
- Experience with AI-powered development tools, LLMs, or AI agents
- Leadership experience (4–6 years) with the ability to inspire and drive change across teams
- Strong understanding of operating model design and transformation
- Experience in banking or financial services is a plus
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)
- Experience with LLM training or prompt engineering / markdown artifacts
- Familiarity with tools such as Claude Code or similar AI development environments
